This program responds to the needs, safety and well-being of individuals
and families through effective community development  initiatives
Individuals and families access support services that have
been developed by the Centre Co-ordinator and assisted by
the Department of Communities

Assisting people to find information and support in
response to specific concerns
Helping indivuduals and families to cope with difficult
and stressful life situations
Mutual support through self help groups


Groups
A variety of groups run from the centre each week

Visit to City Hall - SEALS Community Art Project - SEALS Christmas Lunch - SEALS

SEALS
The SEALS (Seniors Enjoying Active Life Styles)
meet each Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm 
Some weeks the group meets for a full day to enjoy bus trips
Activities include: Positive living, bus trips, guest speakers, craft, games,
sharing of birthdays and much more


500 Club in Action Christmas Lunch - 500 Club

500 Club
The card game 500 brings together men and women each
Monday from 12 noon to 4pm to play 500
and occasional social lunches
This game creates great mental stimulation and both beginners
and skilled players are welcome



University of the Third Age
Advanced Oral French classes are run each
Friday from 9:30am to 11:00am

Pottery Groups

Mudlarks
The Mudlarks meet on Thursday from 1pm
Basic skills in pottery are required and help is available from fellow members

Western Suburbs Clay Workers
We welcome artists working with clay, creating sculpture,
decorative pieces, functional ware and other styles of ceramic art
This group meets on Wednesdays
Intricate workshops are also held at times

Time to Play
Tuesdays 10am to 12 noon
Activities for parents and children to meet regularly
A time to chat and share experiences


Education

 

At community request, different courses are run
to educate and update skills
Courses on a variety of subjects including senior first aid,
safety in your home and fire and safety drills are held at the Centre
Specialist trainers are sought through the
Centre Co-ordinator

Computer Tuition


Our volunteer computer tutor runs individual classes
tailor-made to meet the needs of the pupil
Six one hour lessons for beginners to intermediate
levels
are conducted for the cost of $30.00

"Hardware" classes are also available


Neighbourhood Craft Market


The market is held on the first Sunday of each month
Located on Oxley Road behind the library at Corinda,
all the goods are homemade, home crafted or home grown
